Breaking up is hard. In the comedy “Breakdown on Demand” an agency does this, as seen in the German trailer:
Best friends Mel (Madeleine Sami) and Jane (Jackie Van Beek) have long since broken off ties and are now, as the film’s title suggests, serving up a “breakup by order.” Cynics run the agency “Die Terminmacherinnen”, which relieves its clients of the difficult task of breaking up with their partner. Sometimes with a sing-song, sometimes with great sensitivity and sometimes harshly, they let the other party know it’s over. But there are problems when Mel rediscovers love during the mission of all things…
Not only do Madeleine Sammy and Jackie Van Beek play the lead roles, they are also the writers and directors behind Breaking Up for the Order. They are supported by their old friend Taika Waititi (“Thor: Decision Day”), with whom they already work as actresses, among other things. While Waititi produced the film, Netflix is now releasing it worldwide after a theatrical release in Australia and New Zealand. On February 15, 2019, right after Valentine’s Day, Class On Demand will be available there.
