The Swiss Bankers’ Association headed by President Marcel Rohner is now counting on a broken relationship with Raiffeisen, Switzerland’s third largest banking group. Former Raiffeisen president Guy LaChapelle had Raiffeisen loudly break out of the banking union. LaChapelle has been gone since the summer, and now Thomas A. Muller is the new president of Raiffeisen. According to informed sources, this raises hopes that Mueller may lead Raiffeisen once again into the ranks of the Bankers Association. An unexpected quick comeback, however, is likely to be in 2023, as we can hear.
