Bureau Veritas has established a joint venture in Southeast Asia with AsureQuality

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)– Certification and quality control group Bureau Veritas on Thursday announced in a press release the creation of BVAQ, a food product analysis company based in Singapore that serves the Southeast Asian markets. BVAQ is a joint venture with AsureQuality, New Zealand’s state-owned food safety and biosecurity services company.

Key points of the press release:

– BVAQ brings together Bureau Veritas’ recently established food testing laboratories in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand as well as its majority stake acquired in 2018 in Permulab (a leading Malaysian water and food product testing company). Advanced testing laboratory for food testing established by AsureQuality in Singapore in 2010.

– Bureau Veritas holds a majority stake of 51% in this new business, while AsureQuality owns the remaining capital.

The two partners will thus provide laboratory analyzes to all agri-food companies in Southeast Asia, with an unparalleled geographic presence and range of services based on a “hub and spoke” model, from Singapore to Malaysia, via Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. .
