Blink-182 returns in impressive fashion: a new world tour, a new album, a new song – and an old band member with them.

The American band Blink-182, which by its own admission has defended obscure rock since 1992, brings its fans a lot of joy in many ways. In an uproar, not only was a new world tour announced, but a new album and first single, titled “Edging”, was also announced, which will be released next Friday (October 14). But there’s also cause for celebration in terms of the cast.

What has been circulating as a rumor since the summer of 2022 is now certain: Founding member Tom DeLong, 46, who turned his back on the band in 2015, is back on tour again. To get a video on Instagram – 1 minute ecstasy pun – The band wrote: “We’re coming. The tour is coming. Album is coming. Tom is coming.”

Eventful days lurk behind the band

The trio have big plans for the tour: DeLonge, Mark Hoppus (50) and Travis Barker (46) will give over 70 concerts between March 2023 and February 2024. Starting on March 11, 2023 in Tijuana, Mexico, and the final on February 26, 2024 in Christchurch, New Zealand . Blink-182 has also made three visits to Germany: on September 9, 2023 they will rock the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, after a loop through Scandinavia, then they will go to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on September 16 and on September 17 at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. Concert tickets can be purchased from October 17 this year.

The fact that the Blink-182 can appear in its regular crew, which was found in 1998, is not only something special because of the DeLonge. In July last year, bassist Hoppus announced via social media that he had an aggressive form of cancer and was already in stage four. About three months later, he also announced via social media that he has now defeated the disease and is cancer free.

Drummer Travis Barker recently wrote more positive headlines: In May 2022 he married his partner Kourtney Kardashian (43).
