Australian international Rob Simmons signs for Claremont

Australian international second line Rob Simmons The Auvergne club (33 years, 102 caps) announced its signing for the next two seasons at Claremont, who currently sit 10th in the Top 14, on Monday.

Simmons, a former player in the Australian provinces of Reds Waratah, has been playing since 2020 in the English Championship, in London Irish.

He’s been to three World Cups (2011, 2015 and 2019) with the Wallabies, whose jersey he hasn’t worn in over two years.

With a difficult season in the Top 14, ASM also announced another second line recruit, also for two years, New Zealander Chris Gabriel (23), who went on trial there a few weeks ago.
