Astropolis and Vive la fête acquire Espace Avel Vor, in Plougastel-Daoulas, on Wednesday – Brest

Four years ago, Astropolis has been rolling out a touring project on electronic music, designed for a disabled audience but open to everyone. “Vive la fête”, in collaboration with La Carène, the Don Bosco association and the French exchange houses Dirinon and Ploudaniel, will present, on Wednesday, March 23rd, a musical evening in harmonious format with a DJ set, video, dance floor, discovery workshop and live radio , from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Espace Avel Vor in Plougastel-Daoulas.

Long-term preparation

But before the party, since November 2021, backstage ten “training sessions” have been held at the home of Menez-Roal (Derignon) and Jean Colliner (Blaudaniel), for mastering the turntables and video controllers. For a full electrical display.

After selecting future DJs and videographers, each of the nine residents who embarked on the project set up their collection, pick their playlists, and then prepare their shows. Both are for the mix, with the collusion of “Too Smooth Christ,” a world-renowned artist who combines house, electro and hip-hop sounds, and a video design that will accompany him, with Daff, a videographer by trade practicing “mapping” the scene in real time to adapt to the beat of the music. It served as a guide for video recordings and alterations. His complicity is clear with Lionel Briand, a resident. The latter still sends him, secretly, drawings during the meeting organized to present the event, but will they be shown? It remains to be discovered.

There is still room!

What we do know is that there will be eight of them on stage to give the show (“Enjoy my time,” Lionel asserts,” and “Kraken,” a modified instrument designed by La Carène, Mutualité française and the Kogumi Association, will also be presented in the hall.
