A few days before their second match against Argentina, the All Blacks have to rue an injury picked up in their group. That is Patrick Tuipuluto, who made a huge return to the squad this summer (he has not played since October 2022).

The Blues' second-row, who were recently crowned Super Rugby champions, will not be available for this weekend's match in Auckland, where the All Blacks seek revenge against the Pumas. New Zealand have announced his replacement in the squad. It is Isaia Walker-Leawere, who plays for the Hurricanes, and who could then try out for his first-choice option this weekend (he has already pulled on a Maori All Blacks jersey).
