All Black first place, Karl Tu’inukuafe with Montpellier in the Champions Cup

The substitute, New Zealand international Karl Tonkowa, will play his first minutes in the Montpellier shirt, on Friday, on the occasion of the first day of the Champions Cup, on London Irish soil (9 pm).

This season, MHR intends to have a good campaign in the Champions Cup. This is why the Hérault crew decided to put together their big team to kick off the competition, Friday evening on the London Irish (9pm). Cobus Reinach and Luis Carbonell will form a joint formation led by the third line, Jacob Kamara.

On the left wing, George Bridge will play his second game for Montpellier, following his baptism of fire last week in Clermont (losing 19-14). His former partner with the All Blacks, Karl Tu’inukuafe (pick 26), will make his debut with his new club. The New Zealand international mainstay has already been benched.

On the second line, Florian Verhaghe will be able to take his place. Punished with a red card two weeks ago against Bayonne (35-14), the French international (single selection) was suspended for four weeks by the disciplinary committee. But his sentence was reduced to two weeks on Wednesday. Thus, he can play the match against the London Irish team.
