A free surprise update that will change your gaming experience forever! Click to learn more!

Hey guys! Something big could be happening in Red Dead Redemption 2, following suspicious update activity on Steam.

However, despite the game's quality, it can also be said to be one of the greatest examples of untapped potential in the gaming world. Red Dead Redemption 2 featured an online mode that didn't really accomplish much, perhaps because there wasn't a lot of new content to add to a game set in the past. GTA V Online has seen many updates over the years, adding a variety of silly properties, vehicles and accessories like flying motorbikes, while Red Dead Redemption 2 had to stay a little more realistic. However, the game would certainly have benefited from an “Undead Nightmare” mode, and it's a crime that it was never added.

However, it seems that something is happening for Red Dead Redemption 2, because in the past few months there have been several updates for the game on Steam, more than ever before, despite it being released years ago.

These are “background” updates, as ComicBook reported, but fan theories suggest they may be planning something big, whether it's a single-player expansion or a special event for Red Dead's online mode. While it would be amazing to finally have new playable content, it's probably a pipe dream, especially since Rockstar is fully developing GTA VI.

The only thing you have to do is wait and see what happens. Rockstar has remained as tight-lipped as ever on the subject, so the company has a pleasant surprise for us while we wait for GTA VI to release next year.
