SeaOrbiter, the amazing international marine station
IImagine a 57-metre-high vertical vessel drifting with the currents of the Earth’s seas and oceans, sinking 30 metres below the waves. A futuristic, self-powered, Jules Verne-worthy lifeguard is on board and can carry 24 people, including scientists from around the world. Inside, a pressurised underwater living space offers multiple views of the depths, allowing direct dives to a depth of 12 metres, day and night, without stopping to decompress. Almost like swimming at the beach.
This ship's name is SeaOrbiter, Designed to be for the oceans what the International Space Station is for the universe, it was conceived in the mind of French architect Jacques Rougerie over twenty years ago. A man who defines himself.
