Rodin Fziro, New Zealand Rave
The Rodin Hypercar made its first laps in New Zealand. A useless car, that’s what makes it so charming!
The FZERO concept was first revealed last year, and the New Zealand-designed and built supercar has now entered the testing and development phase. With its vintage lines, it looks straight out of Fous du Volant!
Project FZERO was designed and developed at Rodin Cars’ state-of-the-art complex near Mount Lyford in southern New Zealand. The facility includes three special testing chambers and a high-tech production unit. Behind Rodin Cars and its custom FZERO twin-turbo V10, there’s a man: David Decker, the billionaire car enthusiast. The latter was also personally responsible for the car’s breakdown.
This single-seater supercar with an enclosed cockpit promises astonishing levels of performance, and wants to challenge the latest creations from Aston Martin, Gordon Murray Automotive and Mercedes-AMG. The main goal of the FZERO is to deliver an unparalleled driving experience, while tapping into the raw emotions of speed and performance.
The FZERO is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V10 engine. This engine generates 1,013 hp (755 kW) at 9,500 rpm. Air iteration is currently under development. The only figure announced so far is a top speed of 360 km/h.
