Since its opening on September 13, the youth center attached to the Restouble Room has always been full. A buffer space between school and home, where 25 members, aged between 11 and 17, come regularly, to spend a break for a few minutes or for the whole day according to their wishes.

Open on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, Friday evenings, and during school holidays, for an annual rate of €20 and a small contribution for outings, access is open to all. “There are also parents who play table tennis with the young people,” confirms Margot Gagno, president of the foundation.

After working in a summer camp, “Development and Activities of Rural Areas” of the BTS, and obtaining a license in social, cultural, social and educational coordination and activities, the young woman started in the youth structure of Pins-Justaret. Because she was interested in opening a position at Eunes, she found the opportunity very interesting. “We work as a team of three and share skills,” she explains. “The JLE (Jeunesse Loisirs Eaunes) association to which members contribute, the town hall for loaning room and equipment, the FFR (Foyers) Ruraux) association for equipment, borrowing a minibus, etc. “

The goal here is to lead young people towards independence. We listen to their projects in which they have to be cast. “They want a short trip to Brittany. To achieve this, they will have to invest, explore and organize. For snacks, we rarely buy store-bought products. They are the ones who cook, and they love it,” Margot explains. “From time to time, we organize evenings where we have dinner on site, followed by a movie or board games. I also provide homework help for middle school students. We have a project on the environment that I intervene on at Betances College during lunch break.”
