You'll never believe how much Starfield will sell on Steam in 2023!

Hello gamers and pop culture fans! I'm very happy to report that Starfield was one of the top three best-selling games on Steam in 2023, bested only by Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur's Gate 3.

Despite all the expectations, Bethesda's new IP, Starfield, did extremely well the year it was released. With all the hype leading up to the game's launch, fueled by its exclusivity on Xbox and PC, this isn't a huge surprise.

Upon release, Starfield received positive reviews from experts, and while many fans enjoyed the game, many also viewed it as a missed opportunity. Space travel was seen as a crushing disappointment, and explorable planets didn't seem worth discovering.

However, in hindsight, it was discovered that Starfield was among the top three best-selling games on Steam in terms of revenue. The Bethesda game has generated more than $235 million since its launch last September.

Bethesda has promised that there will be more to Starfield in 2024. The big news is official mod support for the game via Creation Club 2.0, which promises a major upgrade over what was seen in Skyrim and Fallout 4/76.

Story expansions are also planned, which promise to add characters to interact with, new locations to explore, and hopefully new modes of transportation, since walking around planets on foot can get a bit boring.
