Xbox imagines a futuristic console with touch screen and social networking | Xbox One
Last December, GameRant reported an interesting patent from Microsoft related to a touchscreen console. While Microsoft introduced two new colors for the Xbox Elite Series 2 platform yesterday, a new patent filing caught our attention once again and the concept looks much more straightforward than it did at the end of last year.
Touch screen to display the player’s performance
He is again my journalist GameRant Who tells us about a patent since Microsoft has just introduced a new one and the console in question will be much more versatile than we thought last December.
The graphic presented to us shows a more attractive screen where the player can follow his performance in each game. It will also be possible to record custom uploads and connect to social networks directly on the console that will be connected to an external application, possibly on a smartphone.
It is difficult to say where these projects are now and what is the added value for us, the players. However, it is interesting to say that Microsoft is working on new concepts aimed at improving our user experience, and this patent is just one example among many others. Some of Microsoft’s recent patents focus on improving older games with a new cloud-based streaming service, for example. In any case, Microsoft intends to develop its proposal on the pads side to better compete with Sony, which has been innovating for some time in this sector.
