Xbox Remix Special Edition console unveiled
The number of Xbox consoles continues to grow, so the Remix Special Edition console is the one that was announced today. The peculiarity of the Xbox Remix Special Edition console is that its assembly is partially made of recycled plastic.
The brand, unfortunately, doesn’t say what percentage of its console makes use of recycled plastic, but does specify that a third of all recycled plastic comes from recycled or refurbished materials. These are, for example, pieces of recycled water containers, CDs or headlight covers.
The first visuals also show the ribs on the controller knobs as well as the slide buttons.
“The use of these recycled resins results in unique, earth-like tones with subtle variations, swirls, markings and different textures, giving each Remix Special Edition controller a unique look.”
The other advantage of this controller is that it is sold with a rechargeable battery instead of the disposable batteries that are usually included with every Xbox console. “Our goal is to support our fans on this journey to promote sustainability across all Xbox products”Microsoft says.
The battery allows you to enjoy up to 30 hours of autonomy with a maximum charge of 4 hours.
