Whatsapp adds a feature that lets you set a hierarchy for conversations
If WhatsApp manages to remain one of the most popular instant messaging apps, it's largely thanks to its expansion to being updated in a regular manner, adding new features and simplifying its use dramatically through updates. A few days ago, the service added in a beta update the ability to share and find photos more easily using artificial intelligence. A few days later, it was revealed that WhatsApp will benefit from the live translation feature on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. In other words, the days go by and Meta's instant messaging tool continues to add new features.
Favorites on WhatsApp
Today, WhatsApp has not gone too far, announcing the addition of a long-awaited function: the “Favorites” filter. The latter aims to allow its users to find the most important people and groups in your discussion thread more quickly. Also note that the chosen favorites will be the same for discussions, but also for calls. It is now therefore possible to find the specific people in a simple process, instead of having to scroll for several seconds in the discussion thread or call.
So how do we add favorites in this new WhatsApp update? In your chats, select the “Favorites” filter, and choose the contacts and groups you want to add to the filter. The same goes for the “Calls” tab: tap “Add to Favorites” and select the people or groups you want to add. Once you've created your list, you can later manage it through a dedicated Favorites section in the app's settings. Note that the feature is starting to roll out today, but in some cases it won't be available to everyone for several weeks.
