Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin announced on Friday that the Russian army has fired at least 24 ballistic missiles that may have been made in North Korea since the end of last December.

“To date, at least twenty-four ballistic missiles produced in North Korea have been used in Russian missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine. In total, between December 30, 2023 and February 7, 2024, the enemy launched at least twelve attacks Seven regions of Ukraine were struck with this type of missile: Zaporizhzhia, Kiev (three attacks), and Kharkiv (two attacks), in addition to towns and villages in the regions of Kirovohrad, Poltava, Donetsk, and Dnipro. These attacks resulted in the deaths of fourteen civilians and the wounding of more than seventy others. He told the press, according to statements reported by the agency Interfax Ukraine.

He said that information about the origin of the missiles was confirmed by the Central Armament Research Institute of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Interagency Working Group of the Prosecutor General's Office, which carried out a detailed analysis of the places where the missiles fell and their debris.

“These missiles have different numbers and symbols, which may indicate their Korean origin. In addition, the nature and size of the destruction (the size of the crater and the impact) as well as the flight path were different. In other words, these missiles have a larger diameter than similar models of Russian and Soviet origin. He continued, doubting its accuracy.
