Volcanic eruption in La Palma – ‘Massive’ seismic swarm detected in the last 24 hours: 259 earthquakes including 14 felt by residents
The volcano had a maximum intensity of 4.2 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was 13 kilometers deep, the highest seismic level ever recorded at that depth since the eruption began on September 19.
In the past 24 hours, 259 record earthquakes have been detected in the central region of Cumbre Vieja on the island of La Palma, and 14 of them have been felt by residents.

Seismicity does not slow down, quite the contrary. 246 of these earthquakes recorded in the last hours are at depths ranging from 10 to 15 km and the rest (13) at depths of more than 20 km.
