Triathlon. Change of coach to world champion Leo Bergere one year before the Paris Olympics

Change of coach for the world champion in triathlon, North Isero Leo Bergere. According to information from France Bleu Isèrea native of Pont-de-Beauvoisin who has worked for the past three years with Mickaël Ayassami at Pôle Espoir de Boulouris (near Saint-Raphal in the Var) has started a collaboration with Fabio Rastelli.

The Italian has been training some of the best Italian triathletes for several years, including Angelica Olmo … partner Leo Bergere.

A change of coach explained by the desire to make more progress in running, and to keep up in the field over two other notable names in the discipline: Britain’s Alex Yee and New Zealander Haydn Wilde.

Léo Bergère explains on local radio: “It may not work but in any case I cannot say that I have not tried to improve things in this sector. These changes are not necessarily negative, if we know why we are doing things, they can only help us progress and that is what I will try to do in the coming months.”

Leo Bergere will have a big deadline in August (17-20), with the trial event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, for which he has been selected along with Dorian Koninks’s Echirulo and Savoyard’s Emma Lombardi among others. He did not enter the WTCS weekend in Montreal, where Léon Perreault is the only French present.
