Travis Parker Injury: Blink-182 First Round Dates Canceled!
Los Angeles – Blink 182Fans must be strong now! Punk rock fans can’t start their big world tour as planned. Reason: Drummer Travis Barker (47) broke his finger twice.
In fact, the American rock band wanted to go on a big tour across several continents for a year from March – ranging from Latin America, North America and Europe to Australia and New Zealand. Three concerts are also planned in Germany – in Cologne (September 9), Berlin (September 16) and Hamburg (September 17).
But for better or for worse, Blink-182 has to delay the start of their world tour. After breaking two fingers, drummer Travis Parker had to have surgery on Tuesday and is therefore out of action for the time being. So shows in Latin America were definitely cancelled!
Singer and guitarist Tom DeLong The (47) has now come clean and gave his fans the sad news on Instagram: “I wanted to tell you that I’m so sorry to all the people in South America that we can’t be there.”

However, after Travis’ surgery, his top priority now is his recovery before any concerts take place, DeLonge said. The singer reassured his followers: “We’re back!” Some festivals in South America are already planned for 2024, where the group will perform.
Many fans are still angry that Blink-182 of all things canceled their first guest performance in Latin America. One follower, for example, asked instead to cancel some concerts in the US.
Others seem able to stand their disappointment with humor: “Even my ex didn’t hurt me so much,” one user quipped, while another finds it “really hard” to be a Blink fan.

It remains to be seen how long it will be before drummer Travis Barker is fully functional again and rockers can return to the stage. Fortunately, there is still some time until performances in Germany.
