The 2,700-meter-high Iguazu Falls in the National Park of the same name in the border region of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay is the largest waterfall in the world.
In fact, one should speak of waterfalls in the plural: 20 larger and 255 smaller waterfalls together make up this impressive waterscape of transcendence.
The name also says: Iguazú is derived from the Guaraní language and means something like “big water”.
2. Victoria Falls: Magical Moon Arches
The second largest waterfall in the world and the largest in Africa flowing over the edge in Zambia and Zimbabwe with a length of 1700 meters from a height of about 108 meters: Victoria Falls as part of the Zambezi River.
