These ARD programs are canceled today
Germany is out, but the World Cup continues – and with it the changes in the program. Viewers should tune in to these shows today.
This time the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand. It all started on July 20 in Auckland. A total of 64 matches will be played before the winners are crowned at Sydney Stadium on August 20.
For Germany, the dream of winning a major title came to an end after only two weeks. On August 3, the German national team was eliminated after a 1-1 draw against South Korea. However, the end of the FIFA World Cup does not mean the end of the World Cup. ARD and ZDF will continue to show individual games.
August 11 in the ARD
Two matches are scheduled for Friday: Spain vs. Holland and Japan vs. Sweden. The latter is shown only on TV – on the ARD. Since the first match between Spain and the Netherlands, which started at three in the morning, only the Japan-Sweden match will be broadcast live on TV. Then the game starts after 25 minutes.
- 9:30 a.m. Japan and Sweden time
In order to be able to show the game on TV, ARD had to remove several formats from the program. Popular shows like “Crazy for the Sea” and “Meisters of Everyday Life” could not be shown due to the World Cup.
- 9.55am: “Crazy about the sea”
- 10.45am: “Masters of Everyday Life”
- 11.15 a.m.: “asked – chased”
- 12.15pm: “ARD Buffet”
In the coming days, the public can still expect a lot of changes in the program, but these changes mostly relate to the morning. Due to the time difference between New Zealand and Australia, football matches start between 2 am and 2 pm German time. The evenings are thus insulated from program changes.
