The weather next weekend and the start of the Christmas holidays: dip in the cold
The large low pressure system of concern to us this week will tend to retreat toward central Europe, while another low pressure system is approaching the Atlantic Ocean.
A rather gloomy weekend
SaturdaySnow showers will still be possible north of the Seine. From the Alps to Corsica, instability will be marked. Going to the west you should take advantage of calmer but cloudy weather with fairly heavy thinning clouds.
It will remain cold with widespread frost, between -5 and 0°C from north to south. On snowy and radiant ground, the temperature can drop to -10°C on the plain. In the afternoon, we expect 0 to 10 degrees Celsius from the northeast to the southwest.
SundayAs a new low pressure system approaches over the Atlantic Ocean, the weather is quite turbulent which should gradually settle in the west of the country. In the east and south, sunny spells can last longer, with a marked improvement over Saturday in the southeast.
It will be cold again, and even very cold in the morning. Expect -5 to 0°C in the morning from the northeast to the Mediterranean and 5 to 10°C near the Atlantic where there will be a distinct sense of redox. In the afternoon, with the wind direction to the southwest, it is expected to be fair to clear in the west. To the east, it will resist colder air more.
