Since 2021, Espace France services have been temporarily installed inside the main town hall of Étables. It will move to a new, fully independent building before the summer, at 10 Rue Legris. The site was visited on Friday, February 2, in the presence of Serge Del Rio, Deputy Viceroy in charge of French rural areas and service areas.
Training and accommodation places
Gilbert Bertrand, MP in charge of Labour, after a brief history of the building (once a gendarmerie, then a post office), presented the future building: the ground floor has been completely remodeled, with a reception office and a post office. Then the offices space France servicesone of which is dedicated to Agglo services, and a digital meeting room, where digital training workshops will be held, provided in particular by Familles Rurales.
The two floors will be occupied by service housing, four studios and two two-room apartments, to accommodate reinforcements from the gendarmes and others. The total area of the France service area is 241 square metres, including the rear timber frame extension. The thermal insulation, particularly well designed, allows electric heating, adapting to low energy needs.
Opening in June
The overall investment is estimated at €780,000 including taxes, and is financed by the state with €250,000; €366,000 by the municipality (including €300,000 borrowed). Operating costs are budgeted at €120,000, covered by the state (€40,000), municipality (€40,000) and post office (€11,000), with the participation of neighboring municipalities remaining to be determined.
The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of May, and the opening should take place in June. “31 Espaces France services have been established in Côte d'Armor, well distributed throughout the territory, making them less than 20 minutes away from each inhabitant,” explains Serge Delrieux.
