The Lord of the Rings series: New location in season two

Amazon Studios’ new “The Lord of the Rings” series is leaving its old home in New Zealand and will move production to Great Britain starting in the upcoming second season. Gave that Flowing Giant in a message a favour.

With the site relocation, Amazon Studio wants to expand its production presence in Great Britain. The highly anticipated, as yet untitled, series “Lord of the Rings” has completed filming for its first season in New Zealand. According to the streaming provider, post-production will run until June 2022 in New Zealand.
Pre-production for season two will begin at the same time after the new year in Great Britain. It is still unclear where exactly The Lord of the Rings will be filmed in the UK.
In total, Amazon Studio plans five seasons. It seems that the makers have spared no expense. Production costs will be around NZ$650 million (equivalent to about €388 million) – and that’s just for the first season. This was revealed by the New Zealand Minister for Economic Affairs and Tourism, Stuart Nash Radio New Zealand. This would make The Lord of the Rings the most expensive series of all time.

The exact plot of the series is not yet known. This only happens in the second age of the “Lord of the Rings” world, that is, thousands of years before the third age, where the events of the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” films take place. Rumor has it that it will also be about developing Sauron, the main villain in the films. The legendary submerged island of Numenor is said to be an important place to work.
The creators recently announced the start date of the epic series. “A new journey begins on September 2, 2022,” the tweet read.
The main cast consists of Robert Aramayo, Owen Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Badge, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Emma Horvath, Markela Cavina, Joseph Moll, Teru Mohaveden, Sophia Numvit, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Danielle Wyman.
The only character you know from the movies whose name has been announced for the series is Galadriel. Cate Blanchett has played Elf in the movies. Welch Morvid Clark plays young Galadriel in the series.
