The German Federation contracts with the women’s national coach, Voss Tecklenburg
The German Football Association has extended the contracts with national coach Martina Vos Tekellenberg and assistant coach Brita Karlsson until 2025. The association announced on Monday that the new worksheet is valid for this year’s World Cup, the 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Championship and the 2025 European Championship. The DFB president was quoted Bernd Neuendorf says Voss-Tecklenburg and her team have done an “excellent job” in recent years.
“The great success as vice-champion at last year’s European Championships has been the catalyst for a huge development of women’s football.” Meanwhile, Voss-Tecklenburg said: “After last year’s European Championships, I am convinced that our task is far from over.” The man will continue to “work intensively to further enhance the skills of each individual player and the entire team in order to achieve as much success as possible in the upcoming tournaments.”
Voss-Tecklenburg has been the head coach of the women’s national team since November 2018. Last year, the team reached the finals of the European Championships at Wembley and became vice-champions of Europe. Recently, the German women’s national team qualified for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
