The crew of the Russian fleet in Crimea was targeted by a drone attack
“This morning the Ukrainian nationalists decided to spoil the day of the Russian fleet for us,” wrote the governor of the city of Sevastopol in Telegram.
A drone attack on Sunday targeted the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, wounding five people, said the governor of the annexed city of Crimea, Mikhail Razugaev.
“This morning the Ukrainian nationalists decided to spoil the day of the Russian fleet for us”, which was celebrated in Russia on Sunday, Mikhail Razugaev wrote in Telegram.

He determined that a drone had landed in the fleet’s crew yard and reported that five crew members were injured.
Mikhail Razugayev announced that all celebrations related to the Day of the Russian Fleet were “cancelled for security reasons”, and demanded that the residents of Sevastopol not leave their homes “if possible”.
Extensive celebrations are planned for this holiday all over Russia, including a sea parade in Saint Petersburg (Northwest), which will be overseen by President Vladimir Putin.
Annexed area since 2014
This is the first time that Russian authorities have reported such an attack since they began their offensive in Ukraine on February 24. In the early days of its attack on Ukraine, Russia occupied part of southern Ukraine, in particular the Kherson region, located close to the Crimea, which it annexed in 2014.
In recent weeks, Ukrainian forces have returned to the offensive in the south to reclaim these lost territories and have had some success. On Wednesday, Ukrainian strikes destroyed an important bridge in Kherson, the city occupied by Russian forces.
