The young hopeful, Alexandre de Wyck, almost made a surprise by returning like a cannonball to Touraine between Ivoire and Geneva, but finally failed in his wake.

“I am very happy. This is my first Translmanique on a Katana and I had a lot of fun. I think I made many mistakes due to my inexperience. I will be back next year, but this time to win.”

Nicholas Grocs, third, is back in contact with the leading group while crossing between Lausanne and Ivoire, taking advantage of a more favorable wind angle than his direct competitors.

The whole race took place in perfect conditions. La Bise settled on the small lagoon at departure time, allowing the fastest sailboat to exit in just over two hours.
