Suspicious death after a body was found in the suburb of Wellington

Police were checking a house in Karori on Sunday afternoon after the body of a man was found.  His death is treated as suspicious.

Police were checking a house in Karori on Sunday afternoon after the body of a man was found. His death is treated as suspicious.

The death of a man in the suburb of Wellington in Carrore is being treated as suspicious Sunday morning.

Police confirmed that they were called to a house in the western suburbs at 8:30 am on Sunday, after a family member found a dead man.

Detective Inspector Darren Thompson said the death at the home of a Percy Date, a doctor treated as suspicious.

A death, on a property at Percy Date Doctor (pictured) in the Wellington suburb of Carrore, has been treated as suspicious.

The neighbor said that police and ambulances regularly visit the cluster of homes.

On a Sunday afternoon, there was a large police presence at the residence and the police were going from house to house.

Police were guarding the end of the property command and policemen in forensic clothing were inside the house.

Thompson said the Institute for Environmental Science and Research has been called in to help examine the scene.

As of 1 pm, no one was in custody.

The police were looking into the circumstances of the death and had no further information.
