Sofia Tomala and tennis star Alex Zverev have been officially married for almost two years. The announcer often accompanies him to tournaments around the world. Zverev just pulled out of the ATP Masters in Cincinnati in the semifinals against Novak Djokovic. But the next tournament is just around the corner. The US Open begins in New York on August 28.
Sofia and Alex are now using the time between their two major tennis events to make the American city unsafe. Together they have now visited the famous Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). But their understanding of art differed greatly.
Alex Zverev is upset about Sofia Tomalla’s taste
On her Instagram story, Sofia Tomalla takes her followers through the art gallery. Together they looked at paintings, installations, and photographs. However, the exhibits were not well received by both. While Sophia was particularly excited about one of the exhibitions, Alex was dumbfounded.

When Sophia stopped at an old screen on its edge, which showed a blue line, she said, “Sorry, but I think it looks good.” Alex reacts to his girlfriend’s excitement with complete incomprehension: “Do you really have boobs or what?!” He told her in amazement. “There’s a line in the middle,” he says, unfazed by the syntax. “That’s it.”

And Sofia submitted the video with the caption: “Those haters are always.” Alex also shared the sequence in his story and there confirmed again with emojis that he couldn’t understand Sofia’s excitement.
Alex Zverev returns to New York
Of course, the small disagreement between the two was not to be taken lightly. But he shows that, especially in the field of art, opinions and understandings differ widely.
Sofia Thomalla and Alex Zverev still have a few days to explore the city before the athlete returns to the court. Last year, Zverev had to cancel the US Open due to injury. He had torn several ligaments less than two and a half months before the start of the French Open in Paris. “It was brutal,” he said at the time, and decided not to participate in the tournament in New York. In 2023 he will compete again.
