Salmonellosis sometimes causes symptoms similar to those of acute gastroenteritis: diarrhea, abdominal cramps, mild fever, and even vomiting. No deaths have been reported.

The investigation primarily targets SA Ferrero Ardennes, which operates the Arlon plant. Subsidiaries in the Grand Duchy on Tuesday also searched “Ferrero International SA, Ferrero Trading Lux SA and Ferrero Management Services Luxembourg,” according to the prosecution.
