Rugby 7: Catalans Theo Woerner and Dorian Laborde with New Zealand Blues
Both players will play the group stage next night.
While the USAP guys scout England and Bristol on Friday, two other players in the squad are preparing for testing on the other side of the world. On a Friday to Saturday night, Dorian Laborde and Theo Fourner will be part of the France 7 squad who play Round 4 of the World Rugby Sevens Series this weekend in Hamilton, New Zealand.
The Catalans, who played the first two stages in the fall (in Hong Kong and Dubai), before missing the third stage (in Cape Town, South Africa), were called up at the beginning of January to take part in the preparations in Nieuw. Caledonia, before continuing this weekend in New Zealand and the next in Australia (Sydney).
Forner and Laborde play the group stage next night against Fiji, Samoa and Kenya with the aim of getting out of the pool to play the final stages next night. The third place in the first round, with the turnaround that made it possible to get the bronze, went to Woerner, then France took fifth place in the second round, then ninth place in the third.
