Retreats: Ranking the best countries for stability

The cost of living and housing, sunlight, the quality of the health system and access to care, security, distance from Paris, the presence of French society, gastronomy, cultural life … Le Figaro I studied data from countries popular among French pensioners and published, Tuesday, June 29, the 2021 list of the best countries to settle in for your age.
In the top three positions in its ranking, Spain, Greece and Morocco appear. Regarding Spain, “there is no real flaw in the country,” the daily asserts, mentioning in particular the low cost of living and housing, the pleasant climate, the gastronomy and the recognizable cultural scene. In Greece and Morocco, tax conditions are beneficial for retirees, especially confirming Le Figaro .
Then comes Mauritius, a “cheap and heavenly” destination that “has an ideal health system, remoteness and limited cultural life”, according to the newspaper, and Portugal. This indicates that “the tax system is no longer attractive in this country since a law was passed last April.” Le Figaro which also sets a sponsorship system that “belows expectations for a place on the podium”.
Italy came in sixth, followed by the Netherlands, Switzerland and Poland. Belgium completes these top ten among the best countries to settle for retirement.
