New Zealand – SS2: Special Show for Greensmith, General for Breen
It’s a double Ford Puma that we find at the top of gathering From New Zealand at the end of the second special.
As announced, New Zealand’s roads were pretty humid at the start of the day for opposites. These predictable conditions for an entire day should erase a large part of the handicap of actually opening the way for Kali Rovanpera.
At the end of the 29.27 km Wanga private coast, there is not much difference, the drivers played it safe despite the peaks approaching 180 km/h and the endless slip sequences on these great roads.
So it was Gus Greensmith on his Ford Puma M-Sport who took the scratch in this second presentation of Rally New Zealand. Ford doubled overall as Craig Breen beats Greensmith at 0″4. Ogier is in third, Tänak is in fourth and Kalle Rovanperä limits damage and is sixth at 13″ 3.
Sebastien Ogier: “There is no control over a lot of divisions, but it really wasn’t a bad stage!”
The start of SS3 is scheduled for 11:11 PM French time.
