Wellington More heavy rain is expected in Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday (tomorrow). The state of emergency was lifted in the region on Monday. But Mayor Wayne Brown warned that dangerous conditions are expected to return the next day. It is expected to reach 120 liters per square meter in some areas. Four people were killed on Friday in what the Met Agency said was the heaviest rainfall in Auckland since records began.

It fell as much rain in one day as it usually does in the city all summer long. At least 5,000 homes and businesses have been checked for flood and landslide damage. Several roads remained closed on Monday. All schools in Auckland must remain closed until next week.

Heavy rains are also expected on Tuesday in the area north of Auckland in New Zealand’s North Island. The Meteorological Service announced that “significant floods” were expected. Some societies can be isolated from the outside world.
Auckland Airport said operations could be disrupted for several days.
