New Zealand crowned on home soil

It was the ultimate dream. England – New Zealand The most beautiful rugby poster in the world. The show there in the Garden of Eden was complete. The Black Fern case was gripped by the audience, which probably shook like never before because the script for this finale was so amazing. From the outset, the Black Ferns struggled with an England powerhouse who took off (14-0). Back to the wall, the New Zealanders would come back next. And after 7 attempts in the first half and an English red card, it was finally England who took the lead in the first half (26-19). But from the start of the second term, Black Ferns capitalized on the numerical advantage and scored two tries in six minutes. England doesn’t let go and Amy Cookin delivers a hat-trick. In front of two small points, the English would struggle in the last twenty minutes. Driven by the overexcited crowd, the Black Ferns managed to score 6 minutes from the final whistle. Under pressure, New Zealand united to fend off the last English attempt. In doing so, she won her sixth World Championship title (34-31).
