New boat for Grant Liddycoat in partnership with the Lupton brothers

Scott Liddycoat has revealed the paint scheme for the new ‘S-97’ which his son Grant will be driving in the 2.5-liter class in partnership with New Zealanders Jack and Ken Lupton.

Grant Liddycoat, son of multi-champion Scott Liddycoat, is among 8 entries in the 2.5-liter class before next season at HRL. The racer from Suffolk, Virginia, will be in control of the new “Henderson” boat that will become the S-97 whose official name will soon be known. The seaplane’s colorful design has just been revealed on Scott Liddycoat’s Facebook page.
It should be noted that the new team will see the light in partnership with New Zealand competitors Jack and Ken Lupton. You can also see on the paint scheme the inscriptions “Lupton Motorsports” and “Canadian Kiwi”.
Grant Liddycoat will already be 3e Countryside on a seaplane wheel. At the age of 13, he won the American East Championship and North American 1.5L class title, as well as the APBA Rookie of the Year title and 2e In the points championship with the T-35 “TM Special”.
This summer, Grant was crowned U.S. National and Cumulative Points Champion (1.5 liters) in the same boat as brothers Ed and Ron Thompson. HRL officials confirmed today (Thursday) that Grant Liddycoat has been accepted as a passenger in the 2.5-liter class next year.
