It certainly had potential: Nicolas Cage revealed in an interview with the American magazine “People” that he could have starred in two blockbuster films, but canceled the roles.
“There is no version of Nic Cage that family hasn’t beat their career. I rejected the Lord of the Rings and I rejected The Matrix because I didn’t want to go to New Zealand for three years or Australia for three years” and The actor explained according to “People.com”.. Instead, he wanted to be at home with his son Weston.
Nicolas Cage will soon be a father again
Cage is currently expecting children with his first-time wife, Rikko Shibata. He already has two sons, Cal L and Weston, from previous relationships. Cage will soon return to the big screen: In “Massive Talent” (theatrical release: April 21, 2022), Cage plays a fictional version of himself who accepts an awkward job due to severe financial difficulties.
For a million dollars he will appear as a guest star at the birthday party of his biggest fan, performed by the mime Pedro Pascal “The Mandalorian”.
