Motorsport/F1 – Liam Lawson replied

Red Bull recently expressed their satisfaction in bringing in an experienced driver to join Yuki Tsunoda aboard the AT04 Alpha Tauri for the remainder of the 2023 season. While his candidacy is on the table, Liam Lawson understands the decision and has absolutely no worries about his future.

The talented New Zealand Red Bull Junior driver is currently in an intense Super Formula season in Japan and would absolutely prefer to finish this championship which gives him very valuable experience before exploring a future in Formula 1.
Before the Super Formula race in Japan, Liam Lawson spoke about this situation.
“I want to finish my season in Super Formula. My goal was to get a seat for next year and Dr. Marco put me here in order to finish my Formula 1 training. To take the lead this year by jumping on a bandwagon would have been complicated. They wanted an experienced driver who had been He has been driving in F1 for a while. So I understand their decision. I have to fight to win the championship here in Japan. That should create the best opportunity for me.
