More than 3 months of absence for a New Zealander treated illegally by an Australian!
On Thursday, the All-Blacks beat Australia in a tough match of the Four Nations Championship.
During this meeting, Australian Darcy Swan was guilty of making a very bad gesture to New Zealand’s Queen Tobia.
The Australian got straight to his opponent’s knee and rolled to try to tackle him.
Of course, the New Zealander saw his knee and was forced to give up his spot.
For this bad gesture, French international referee Mathieu Raynal decided to punish the Australian with a yellow card.
The New Zealander underwent a medical on Friday and unfortunately the news is not good.
Blacks player suffers from torn knee ligaments.
He will be out of action for at least three months. He will miss the Final of the Four Nations Championship as well as the Fall Tour for the Blacks.
For his part, the Australian player will appear before a disciplinary committee. He faces several weeks of suspension.
