Millau: Osmond, a timeless multi-activity space hidden in the city

This resource center offers a wide range of self-knowledge workshops. An interview with Ameline Lisecure.

Osmonde is located in the heart of the center, in a former factory slightly hidden from Avenue Louis-Blanc. Emeline Liskeur is the sponsor and owner. The 32-year-old Aveyronnaise, born in Rodez, trained in fine arts in Montpellier before working for many years in the performing arts, notably at the Maison du Peuple.

Incorporating yoga into her daily practices and supporting the artists she has worked with, Emeline naturally became a yoga teacher and began giving her first lessons at Hôtel-Dieu in 2015 while continuing to nurture a desire to open up a communal living space: “I never expected to live a family life, but I wanted to open a place that welcomes the public and organizes events.”

This other family, she created with her association Terra Luna, made up of seven members who co-run the place they named: the Human Resource Center. Emeline had the desire not to buy but to renovate a building where there are so many in the city of glove: “When one of my relatives sent me the advertisement of this factory for sale, I did not hesitate for a second. Three of us took an interest, and finally my project was chosen. This factory chose me”, You remember the founder who put all his artistic spirit into renovating the place.

200 members in 2021

With only two years to go, the team of speakers who contribute to offering a wide range of yoga, dance, singing, women’s circles, audio trips, breathing, meditation and self-knowledge workshops shouldn’t be ashamed of the success it possesses. “I’m not an entrepreneur in my heart, I haven’t budgeted for predictions, so I’m happy. It’s more than I could have ever imagined about attendance, donations, or partnerships coming to me. I get a lot of support,” Emilyn trusts. The association had nearly 200 members in 2021 and sees nearly 100 people pass each week.

Osmonde can be proud of providing quality events that are frequent most of the time. The Venue Charter provides for participants to become members and not simple consumers so that everyone is responsible.

“For me, Osmonde is a meeting place thanks to the approach of group workshops. I don’t want to sell anything in this place that can be likened to a luxury space. Because the workshops offered can be useful but also come to disturb the uncomfortable places inside us. All this is neutral, There is nothing good or bad.” The founder concludes.
