Until now, little was known about the mammoth project. But now Amazon Prime has revealed the first details of the Lord of the Rings series.
network – Until now, little was known about the mammoth project. But now there was Amazon Prime The first details of “Lord of the Rings” content – and it raises a lot of speculation.
More than three years ago, the broadcast service announced that it had secured the rights to JRR Tolkien’s fantasy epic.
Not much has changed since then.
It is now clear that JD Payne and Patrick McKay will act as opponents and producers. But for a long time it was not known exactly what the nearly billion-dollar project was supposed to be.
But the wait is finally over: on the fan site The One Ring Amazon released a statement providing the first details about the content of the show – and it looks promising!
In terms of content, the series is set in the second era 1,000 years before the events of the “Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings”, in which great powers were formed, kingdoms rose to glory and fell, and were unexpected heroes. After his audition, Hope hung with the thinnest strings, and the greatest villain who had ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to hide the whole world in the dark.
Especially since the announcement of the “greatest villain” made fans and connoisseurs of the series sit back and pay attention: could this refer to the cruel ruler Sauron, who had already played an important role in the film trilogy?
Amazon has stated at least that both new and old characters will be part of the group.
Previously, there were already initial hints of the setup on Twitter by posting a map of the terrain on which the plot was supposed to take place.
“From the darkest depths of the Mist Mountains to the majestic forests of Elvin Lyndon’s capital, to the picturesque Kingdom of Nemenor Island, to the most remote corners of the map, these kingdoms and personalities will form a legacy that will last long after their appearance. Death,” reads the present message.
The series project is currently designed for at least five seasons, each with eight to ten episodes.
While the pilot episode should be ready, filming for seasons one and two will begin this month in New Zealand.
The goal is to have the series available to all subscribers on Amazon Prime Video by the end of 2021.
