At a meeting on Thursday, elected officials from the municipal council put out a call for proposals to set up a company at Maison Valentin as well as find an operator who would manage the future wellness space on Doncaster Street.

Two calls for expressions of interest were voted on during Thursday’s town hall. The first of its kind to create a commercial space on the ground floor of Maison Valentin. Applicants must submit a file outlining their project and funding plan. The decision will take into account the project’s compliance with requirements and its viability.

The second call for expressions of interest relates to a medical and para-medical health space at 7 Doncaster Street. The building will include three medical offices, a biomedical analysis laboratory, a para-medical area and possibly a cabin for remote consultations. All will be distributed over an area of ​​280 square meters2. Selection methods were determined based on the suitability of the municipality’s need, its economic credibility, and its ability to implement the project. The application deadline is set for January 30, 2024.

Stores open on Sunday

Retail opening dates for 2024 were set on Sunday, within twelve exceptions allowed by law to encourage commercial activity during periods of high demand. These exemptions are granted to all retail companies that practice the same activity. Open Sundays will be January 14, March 17, April 21, June 30 1any September, September 24, and the firstany 8, 15 and 22 December 2024.

Budget adjustment

The budget amendment was voted on by a majority of elected officials. In operation, expenses associated with the outsourcing of municipal asset management, the payment of two school swimming sessions during a financial year, the increase in advertising costs for public contracts and recruitment and the use of support from the collective reception of minors, led to an increase in the adjustment of the investment section by € 153,871 bringing the total amount to 8.1 One million euros. Regarding investments, it amounts to 10.6 million euros, taking into account the subsidies requested but not notified when preparing the initial budget. These are 10,000 euros from the state for the relay of video protection, about 250,000 euros for the medical field and 28,000 euros from the Metropole de Lyon to purchase instruments for the municipal conservatory.
