Ivory Coast, New Zealand and Lebanon qualify for the 2023 World Cup
Four teams – plus two of the three host countries – already have tickets for the 2023 World Cup: Finland, Côte d’Ivoire, New Zealand and Lebanon.
Finland, Ivory Coast, New Zealand, Lebanon… these are not exactly the most awaited countries to get tickets to the 2023 World Cup in Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia (did not qualify). All of them got the precious sesame after a great run in the qualifiers.
In the Africa region, Cape Verde is largely dominated by Côte d’Ivoire. Unbeaten, partners Vanessa Fofana, Slimane Diabatti, Jean-Francois Kepe or even … naturalized Alex Bouthiers will approach the next qualifying window, in February, without the slightest pressure.
In the Asia region, Lebanon returns to the World Cup finals for the first time since 2010. The Lebanese won especially during the first stage against Canada.
Unsurprisingly, they will be accompanied in Oceania by New Zealand, who beat Jordan, who will participate in the World Cup finals for the sixth time in a row. Australia should soon formalize its existence.
Earlier, Finland led by Lauri Markkanen took a place in the top three of its group in the Europe region.
Everyone joins hosts Japan and the Philippines on the starting line for the 2023 World Cup.
