In Dinan, a co-working space dedicated to young talents – Dinan

The position of Aude Lemercier was created in March 2017 within the Dinan Steredenn Association. Mission: Developed facilitator for the KonCrée project. In June of the same year, the first passengers landed with their heads full of desires. KonCrée is a co-working space Intended exclusively for young people between the ages of 16-30. This laboratory allows them, when they have an idea for a project, to try it on the territory of Dinan Aglo, without committing to a result.

Above all: developing an idea

In this place, in fact, the goal above all is to develop an initiative and its possible implementation or not. “We give them time to test,” emphasizes the facilitator, who points out that the thought process takes priority, without focusing only on the solution. It’s fine when you succeed, and that’s often the case, but the end result isn’t there. At the same time, KonCrée received the approval of the Civic Initiative Service. Whether young people are in the process or whether their presence is a personal initiative in a life path, the goal is the same in this original incubator: to support all projects.

Network and support

Thus, co-workers can access a local network and new knowledge of the territory, thanks to the networking between supervising professionals. They have access to tools and technical support in terms of working methodology. “With my colleague Emeline Proyas, we are also there for daily support. For every project, there are phases of excitement at launch, and then some of the more complex phases as we repackage the youngster.”

The advantage in such a furnished room, between the always available coffee maker and the sofas, is that the young man, while working on his own file, is never alone. “Our role is also to ensure group cohesion and solidarity between our various occupants,” smiles the developer involved.

environment and sexism

The success of the place is well established. Since its inception, at least 70 young people from all over France have implemented and piloted their projects in the Dinan region. Aude cites several citizen debates, the eco-fun festival put on by Agathe, the Maël bike repair shop that works very well, or even the exhibition of overconsumption by Jeff and Léa “which, despite all the work done, was stopped by Covid”.

Environment-related projects have a big stake with these young co-workers, who are also very interested in topics related to sexism, LGBT issue, sports and animal abuse. Here, all these youngsters are definitely showing that they hold the future with enthusiasm.
