Hurricane in New Zealand: There are still 13 people who want it

This is a significant step forward since the early days of the cyclone – which hit the country’s east coast on February 12 – when 6,000 people were missing the day after the flood, according to information from Reuters.

Eleven people lost their lives in the event and thousands were left homeless.

Police New Zealand want to make the search for the missing 13 a priority, and they support the importance of “acting as quickly as possible”.

Various parts of the North Island were affected by the disaster, but the worst flooding occurred in Auckland, where 155 mm of rain fell in 24 hours.
