“His vulgar spelling mistakes alerted me”: The false teacher was exposed for his errors
An Italian school principal exposed a fake teacher after discovering he had made too many spelling mistakes. He is now being tried.
His spelling mistakes betrayed him.. A fake professor was exposed in Italy after five months in the job, according to the news agency Forget. The 50-year-old was appointed as a substitute at the beginning of the 2022 academic year at a primary school in Cremona in Lombardy (Italy). But the testimony he presented was in fact false.
Doubts about him did not last long: “I was alarmed by his vulgar spelling errors and difficulty in oral communication,” Barbara Azali, the foundation’s director, explained in a recent report. Corriere della Sera.
Legal proceedings began
After an initial report from the principal, investigators verified that the number written on his certificate did not actually correspond to the series of numbers used by the school where he claimed to have studied. Moreover, the man had never frequented this establishment.
The fifty-year-old is therefore being tried on charges of “unlawful practice of the teaching profession”, “forgery committed by an individual” and “defrauding the state” for an amount of approximately 10,000 euros, the salaries he would have received. I obtained it from the Italian state.
