Google Pixel will get smarter to charge it at night
It seems that an alarm clock is no longer needed to activate the Google Pixel’s adaptive charging. However, even then it was a sine qua non to take advantage of it.
The Google Pixel 4 and all devices after it now take advantage of a very useful feature for their battery, which is adaptive charging. The latter aims to extend the long-term autonomy and durability of your battery, thanks to the gradual recharging system used during the night.
To take advantage of it, it was necessary until then to respect some small conditions: activating the function mentioned within the parameters at the beginning, but also configuring the alarm between 3 am and 10 am. As a result, adaptive charging can begin automatically between 9pm and 4am.
9to5Google news issue
Except that according to a journalist from 9to5Google, it will not be necessary to configure an alarm for the adaptive load to work. In fact, the person in question saw his Pixel 7 activate said function, even though he’s not using his phone as an alarm clock — but his Pixel Watch, whose alarm isn’t synced to the smartphone.
On the screen of his Pixel 7 it says “Adaptive Charging – Full by 7.00 AM”. In other words, the adaptive charge was already active, for a full recharge scheduled for 7 am. At this very time the journalist usually wakes up. Note: Bedtime mode is not selected.
Fewer conditions to meet
In other words, it appears that adaptive charging is no longer based on prerequisites, such as setting an alarm between 3am and 10am. For journalist Abner Lee, a full charge scheduled for 7 a.m. could be a hypothetical opening on the part of the US group.
Or your Pixel can understand when you usually start using your smartphone. In this case, you select the morning period so that the battery is at 100% of its capacity. Obviously, we invite you to check if this small change is active on your Pixel phone.
