The German national team will begin its World Cup campaign in Australia and New Zealand on July 24. Game plan at a glance.

The ninth edition of the Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20. The German team will face Morocco, Colombia and South Korea in the preliminary round of Group H. Due to the time difference, the match will kick off in the late morning or early afternoon CET. Individual games at a glance:

Monday 24 July: Germany – Morocco (10.30am CET/ZDF)

Sunday 30 July: Germany – Colombia (11.30am CEST/ARD)

Thursday 3 August: Germany – South Korea (12 noon CEST/ZDF)

If a DFB team secures one of the top two places in the preliminary round, it will advance to the knockout round. The opponents have not yet been determined, but the days and times of potential matches with German participation have been set. Here are the dates:



Tuesday 8 August: Round of 16 (10am CEST or 1pm CEST)

Saturday 12 August: Quarter-finals (9am CEST or 12:30pm CEST)

Wednesday 16 August: Semi-finals (12 noon CEST)

Sunday 20 August: last (12 noon CEST)

The final will be held at Stadium Australia in Sydney, which has a capacity of 83,500 spectators. If national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s team wins the title, this will be Germany’s third victory in the World Cup after 2003 and 2007.
