France is very high in the world ranking
After defeating the world champion in South Africa, France retained the second place in the men’s rugby world ranking, while on the women’s side, France rose to third place, after winning the bronze medal in the World Cup.
France rugby was a very nice Saturday! Just hours after the women’s World Cup bronze medal in New Zealand by defeating Canada in the small final, the men’s introduced world champions South Africa after a thrilling match in Marseille as part of the Autumn Tour. Great performances reflected in the World Rugy rankings published on Monday. The French men’s XV, who was still sixth a year ago, retains the world number two spot, 0.62 points behind Ireland., who have won their last five matches, including Saturday’s match against Fiji. This weekend, France will host Japan while the Greens will host Australia, which could allow the Blues to get a little closer if the results are favourable. New Zealand, who narrowly won in Scotland, complete the podium ahead of South Africa. Note that Australia, who were defeated in Italy on Saturday, is now only eighth.

France overtakes Canada
